The window is a subject matter in over 100 paintings and graphic works which can be seen at the Sofia Art Gallery. The exhibition is on display until September 18. The exhibition shows the evolution of window paintings in Bulgarian art over the last 80 years. The works are grouped into several cycles, depending on the setting in which the window is placed - e.g. still-life painting, interior settings, etc. The exhibition includes art works by renowned classical painters such as Nikola Mihailov, Elissaveta Konsoulova-Vazova, Elena Karamihailova, Bencho Obreshkov, David Peretz, Eliezer Alsheh, Boris Elisseev, Ivan Nenov, Vera Nedkova. Of the modern artists, whose works are included in the exhition, one can see the names of Yordan Katsamounski, Toma Vurbanov, Stefan Yanev, Andrei Daniel
